The Israel Defense Forces assesses that there could be increased fire toward Israel in the coming hours.

The military says that the assessment has been made as US President Donald Trump’s deadline is set to expire in just over four hours.

The IDF says that it is prepared to both defend and attack, and that the public will be updated if there is any change to Home Front Command guidelines.

Earlier today, Trump threatened that “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” if Iran doesn’t agree to his demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. EST.
