Iranian official warns Trump to stop Hormuz bluffing ‘before he ends up hiding in a food truck’
An senior Iranian Parliament member appears to threaten US President Donald Trump and mocks a reported operation prompted by an Iranian assassination threat to transfer him between planes in a catering truck.
“The US President ought to worry about his own security rather than his endless bluffing regarding the Strait of Hormuz; before he ends up hiding in a food truck,” Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, writes on X.
Trump confirmed on Tuesday that he had been smuggled off Air Force One in Ankara in July using a catering vehicle because the Secret Service and US military told him to switch planes.
The US leader said Friday he would “soon” declare the Strait of Hormuz to be US territory.
