Knesset passes bill to force airlines to compensate for nixed flights in 30 days
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Knesset passes an amendment to coronavirus legislation to obligate airlines to refund passengers within 30 days for a canceled flight.
The law will take effect tomorrow.
According to the Ynet news site, millions of shekels have been lost by hundreds of thousands of Israelis as a result of flights canceled by the virus crisis.
Some companies have compensated passengers, either with refunds or vouchers for future flights.
