Major annual kid’s festival goes online, but website crashes ahead of show

A major annual Israeli song and dance show for children faces a significant setback, after it went online this year but its website crashes just as the performance is about to begin.

The Festigal has been taking place during the Hanukkah festival since 1981. Many children eagerly await it for months.

Parents around the country report their kids have been distraught by the error, which was reportedly caused by the website being overloaded with users.

Organizers later say the problem has been solved, an hour and 20 minutes after the scheduled start.
