Man badly hurt after his car explodes in Tira; police probing link to criminal feud

A man was badly injured after his car exploded while driving in the central Arab city of Tira, first responders say.
Firefighters deployed to the scene around noon found the man’s car up in flames on the side of the road. They extinguished the fire and pulled the man, unconscious, from his vehicle.
Magen David Adom paramedics transported the victim to the hospital. His condition is listed as serious.
Police are investigating the incident and link it to a criminal conflict in the city. No suspects have been arrested.
The car exploded near Tira’s city hall, according to local Arab outlets. Many Arab mayors and municipal officials face threats of violence from criminal syndicates.
