Trump, Katz both said to raise issue of pardoning Netanyahu on their own volition, raising speculation of PM-backed campaign
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleChannel 13 journalist Sefi Ovadia reports that US President Donald Trump raised his demand for President Isaac Herzog to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu without being asked about it during his interview with the Axios news site.
Hours earlier, Channel 12 interviewed Defense Minister Israel Katz, who on his own volition raised the importance of pardoning Netanyahu.
Ovadia speculates that the two instances demonstrate that a coordinated campaign is underway, suggesting that Netanyahu himself may be behind it.
