Two shot dead in Negev drive-by

Third man injured, taken to Soroka Medical Center; police believe incident was criminally motivated

Two people were shot and killed and a third was injured in a drive-by shooting in the Negev on Sunday.

Police believe the shooting was related to a conflict between Bedouin clans, Maariv reported.

The two were declared dead at the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics. The third victim was transferred to Soroka Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest, Walla News reported.

The incident occurred at the entrance to the Bedouin community of Hura north of Beersheba. The attack was close to the scene of a similar shooting in February in which two people were killed and a third injured. Police believe the two incidents are related.
