Lebanon’s army on Saturday arrested a Palestinian Islamist wanted for planning bombings in the Arab country, Reuters reported.
The Lebanese military said Khaled al-Sayyid was captured in Ain al-Hilweh, Lebanon’s largest Palestinian refugee camp, located in the country’s south.
Al-Sayyid, who had in the past fought with jihadists in Syria, was handed over to security forces by other Islamists in the camp, according to the report.
There were no immediate details on the specific crimes of which he was accused.
