3-month-old baby rescued from rubble of destroyed home in Rishon Lezion

A three-month-old baby was among those rescued from the rubble of a destroyed home in Rishon Lezion after it was hit by an Iranian missile.

“I pulled her into my arms and then gave her to the first police officer I saw, and then started lifting out all the other family members,” Fire and Rescue Service Captain Idan Chen tells the Walla news site.

“As we were doing this there were people trapped in the home above and next door — and opposite there was a fire — and I’m trying to manage the incident amid complete destruction,” he says.

Two people were killed and 19 wounded in the early morning strike that destroyed several family homes.

The baby was lightly wounded.
