Abbas promises diplomatic surprise
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSpeaking to Egyptian television, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas promises an unorthodox diplomatic surprise in the next week.
Abbas recently was in Cairo for talks with top Egyptian officials.
He says the plan will be presented to John Kerry, who is unlikely to accept it. However, Abbas says, his plan enjoys broad Arab support.
It will be presented to the PA leadership in the coming days, he says.
