Anti-government protesters rally at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, hold rallies in Jerusalem, Haifa

Hundreds of anti-government protesters gather at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square for weekly demonstrations, with tonight’s rally expected to draw several thousand.

Some protesters marched from nearby Rabin Square, holding signs with varying anti-government messages, including anti-war and anti-occupation slogans, campaign messages for opposition parties and calls for the establishment of a State Commission of Inquiry into the failures that allowed the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks.

“The members of the massacre government have their backs against the wall today,” anti-government protest leader Shikma Bressler says in a speech before the main rally. “They see the polls, and they know what their part is in the great disaster that happened to us and in the great deterioration of the status of the State of Israel.”

Several family members of former hostages and fallen soldiers are expected to speak at the Tel Aviv protest.

Several other demonstrations are also being held at other locations across the country, including Haifa, Jerusalem, Beersheba and Afula.
