German chancellor lands in Israel ahead of meetings with PM, president

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz lands in Israel ahead of expected meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and other officials.
He is greeted at the airport by Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, who welcomes him on “this important visit, which proves that Germany stands by the State of Israel and supports its struggle for the safety of its citizens.”
