The Israel Defense Forces announces the deaths of two soldiers, one during the ongoing ground operation in the Gaza Strip, and the second who is identified weeks after the October 7 Hamas attack on southern Israel.
Sgt. First Class (res.) Yedidya Eliyahu, 25, a soldier in the Combat Engineering Corps’ 8170th Battalion, from Karnei Shomron, was killed during fighting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip today.
Another soldier of the 8170th Battalion is seriously wounded, the IDF says.
Staff Sgt. Yam Glass, 20, an observation soldier in Unit 414, from Modiin, was killed on October 7. The military only recently confirmed she had been killed.
Their deaths bring the toll of slain soldiers, officers, and reservists since October 7 to 341.
