IDF says Hezbollah cell killed in overnight drone strike

A cell of Hezbollah operatives was killed in a drone strike in southern Lebanon overnight, the military says.

According to the IDF, the operatives were identified by troops of the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division entering a building that served Hezbollah as a command center.

The Israeli Air Force then struck the building, killing the operatives, the military says.

The incident took place as troops pushed deeper into southern Lebanon in recent days, with the IDF saying it assumed “forward defensive positions to establish an additional defensive layer to remove the threats to the residents of northern Israel.”
