An armed cell of gunmen who were spotted operating at a cemetery in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis last week were killed in a drone strike, the military says, publishing footage of the incident.
The alleged Hamas operatives had been spotted at the so-called old cemetery in central Khan Younis by soldiers of the Kfir Brigade’s Haruv reconnaissance unit.
The army says the gunmen “posed a threat to the troops operating nearby,” prompting troops to call in a drone strike against them.
On their bodies, the IDF says, it later found assault rifles, RPGs, grenades and an explosive device.
In a separate incident in the area, the military says troops found and demolished rocket launchers, without providing details.
