Israelis going to UAE will have to present valid visa to enter Ben Gurion Airport

Transportation Minister Miri Regev announces that Israeli travelers to Dubai won’t be able to enter Ben Gurion Airport without presenting a valid visa, meaning they will have to verify they can travel before they go to the airport.

The move apparently comes in an attempt to prevent the continued overcrowding at airport in violation of coronavirus restrictions, and in light of frequent reports of Israelis being denied access to the United Arab Emirates due to the lack of a valid visa.

Regev earlier paid an unannounced visit to the airport to see the situation there up close.

The new instruction will come into force on Sunday.
