Netanyahu meets with Kahlon, Litzman in bid to end coalition infighting
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman to try and resolve the coalition crisis surrounding a bill exempting ultra-Orthodox students from mandatory military service, Channel 10 reports.
The meeting comes after the spiritual leaders of Litzman’s Agudath Israel party reject a plan to solve the coalition infighting over the legislation.
Litzman has threatened to veto the 2019 state budget if the military enlistment exemption is not passed, while Kahlon has threatened to bolt the government if the budget is not passed by the end of the week.
