Netanyahu to May: Israel is doing everything it can to minimize Gaza casualties

At the start of a bilateral meeting in London, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells his British counterpart Theresa May that the humanitarian situation in Gaza stems from Hamas’s desire to destroy Israel, but adds that Israel is doing everything it can to minimize casualties.

May had expressed concern regarding the dozens of Palestinians killed by Israelis troops during protests on the Gaza border over the past several months.

Netanyahu highlights the dozens of Israelis fields alongside the coastal enclave that have been torched by incendiary kites sent by Palestinians in addition to the diverting of humanitarian aid by Hamas for the construction of terror tunnels into Israel.

The UK prime minister clarifies that Britain supports Israel’s right to defend itself.
