NSC advises limited transit via Egypt, Jordan; urges Israelis in UAE to return

The National Security Council recommends that Israelis returning to or flying out of Israel via Egypt or Jordan do so only through airports in Taba, Aqaba, or Amman, and to avoid other locations in these countries.
The NSC warns against remaining in Egypt or Jordan, where a Level 4 travel warning is in effect, and recommends traveling directly from the airport to the border crossings closest to Israel. Travelers should conceal any Israeli or Jewish identifiers and should not post details of their travel plans on social media, the NSC adds.
The NSC also recommends that Israelis currently in the United Arab Emirates return to Israel via commercial flights, and reiterates its warning to Israelis elsewhere not to travel through the UAE.
Israel partially evacuated its embassy staff in the UAE on Tuesday after two attempted Iranian terror attacks on diplomats there, an Israeli official confirmed to The Times of Israel. Thousands of Israelis reportedly remain in the Gulf state and are trying to return to Israel.
“Representatives of the Foreign Ministry are in contact with Israelis in the UAE and are assisting them as much as possible,” a foreign ministry spokesperson told The Times of Israel.
