Riot at Israeli consulate in Istanbul
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA riot breaks out at Israel’s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. One observer says demonstrators protesting Israel’s incursion into Gaza rip down Israeli flag and replace it with a Palestinian one.
Protesters have also started a fire at the building.

An AKP MK tweets that all his party’s legislators at the protest against “killer Israel,” says Turkish journalist Ilhan Tanir.
Another journalist says Turkish police push back crowds with tear gas and water cannons.
