Rivlin: Zero tolerance for terrorism

President Reuven Rivlin offers his condolences to the family of Captain Eliav Gelman, killed today in a West Bank attack, and says there can be no tolerance for terrorism.

“We have just now, in the past moments, received the terrible news of the death of Captain (Res.) Eliav Gelman, who was killed during efforts to subdue a terrorist who struck today, at the Gush Etzion junction,” the president says at the start of a meeting with Arab regional and local authorities leaders in Israel.

“There can be no forgiving terror, there can be no tolerating terror, and all those sitting here today must condemn terror outright. The fire of terrorism, which has taken from us so many victims, is the same fire which will burn the bridges that we are trying to build today. I send my deepest condolences to the bereaved family.”
