Turkish court suspends leadership of opposition party that defeated Erdogan’s AKP in 2024 elections

A court in Ankara has suspended the leadership of the country’s main opposition party, the CHP, the country’s state news agency Anadolu reports.

The CHP won a major victory against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s ruling AKP in the 2024 local elections.
