217 protester deaths recorded in 6 Tehran hospitals, ‘most by live ammunition’ — report

An anonymous Tehran doctor tells TIME magazine that 217 protester deaths were registered in just six hospitals in the city ater anti-regime rallies on Thursday night, “most by live ammunition.”
The reported killing in the capital is much higher than the at least 51 killed confirmed by human rights groups in the anti-regime demonstrations, which began on December 28.
TIME says they are unable to independently verify figures by rights groups.
