National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir lauds his office’s recent approval of 150,000 gun licenses, at the scene of a fatal stabbing in the central city of Holon this morning where the terrorist was shot by a police officer.

“I share in the grief of the families and I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. Our war is not only against Iran but here in the streets,” he tells reporters in Holon.

“That’s exactly why we armed the people of Israel with 150,000 gun licenses in the last eight months. We opened hundreds of civilian security squads and bolstered police forces,” he says.

Two people have been confirmed dead in the attack and at least two others have been taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Ben Gvir also congratulates the “heroic police officer” who shot and neutralized the terrorist in Holon this morning.

“There could have been a much bigger disaster here,” he says.
