The Defense Ministry’s Coordinator for Government Affairs in the Territories (COGAT) says it facilitated the opening of a field hospital in the Gaza Strip — the 15th since the beginning of the war against Hamas.

The facility, opened in coordination with the International Medical Corps, “is designed to expand essential medical services in areas of prenatal care, mental Health, Physiotherapy, and Inpatient Care for the civilian population,” COGAT says in a statement.

It says the hospital includes 150 beds, 200 medical staff, and has been treating over 1,000 patients a day.

The statement does not say exactly where the hospital is located.
