Edelstein: Economy will suffer if virus not brought under control
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHealth Minister Yuli Edelstein appears for a televised statement, telling people that new restrictions are meant to save Israel from having to enter a full lockdown, but Israel will not know for 2-3 weeks.
He says all decisions were made with people’s health and economic well-being in mind.
“If infections go down, the economy will go up. If they go up, it will be a serious blow to the economy,” he says.
“If we want to save the economy, we need to flatten the curve.”
