Explosion and possible infiltration attempt reported at Kerem Shalom
A large explosion is being reported near the Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel and southern Gaza, where a tunnel has apparently blown up.
Large forces are on the scene searching for a possible infiltrator from Gaza, Israeli media reports.
Residents of the area are being told to stay in their homes.
The reported attack comes about an hour after Israeli forces engaged and killed five Hamas terrorists trying to infiltrate Israel from the sea near Zikim, in the north of the Strip.
