France warns citizens to leave Lebanon amid fears of major regional escalation

France has invited its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country due to a risk of military escalation in the Middle East, the French foreign ministry says in a travel advisory.

The French foreign ministry reiterates that it advised French citizens against traveling to Lebanon amid fears of a major escalation in the area and continued cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah, which started attacking Israel the day after the October 7 Hamas-launched onslaught on Israel from Gaza.
