Hamas asks Israel to stop bombing, free prisoners
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael should stop its bombardment of Gaza and release Palestinian prisoners, a spokesman for Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, says as the Israeli Air Force continues to attack terror-related targets in the Gaza Strip.
“We ask Israel to stop the bombardment, return to the ceasefire that was agreed upon, release prisoners, and stop intervening in our internal affairs,” says the armed wing’s official spokesman, Abu Ubeida.
He also calls for Israel and Hamas to return to the understandings reached at the end of the last major round of violence, in 2012.
