IDF says it struck Hamas operative planning ‘imminent attack’ in southern Gaza

The IDF says it carried out a strike a short while ago targeting a Hamas operative who was planning an “imminent attack” against Israeli troops operating in southern Gaza.
According to the military, the operative posed an immediate threat to IDF troops and was hit in a pinpoint strike. The IDF says steps were taken beforehand to reduce the risk to civilians, including the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.
The military adds that forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in line with the current ceasefire agreement and “continue operating to remove any immediate threats.”
