Israel has shown itself to be “the best ally we’ve had since Great Britain in World War II,” US Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas tells Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their meeting in Blair House.

“That’s the last time we’ve had a nation that’s fought shoulder-to-shoulder with us, side by side, against our common enemy in Iran, and against the radical terrorism we face,” says the Republican lawmaker and former Army officer.

Cotton says he will always stand up for the US-Israel alliance “because it makes both of our nations safer.”
