An internal Likud party court approves Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to grant a guaranteed spot on the party’s electoral slate to Likud Central Committee chair Haim Katz, only a day after it issued an interim order freezing a vote on the matter in the Likud secretariat.
On Tuesday, after the court declined to intervene, the Likud secretariat approved Netanyahu’s decision to grant guaranteed spots to Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and Defense Minister Israel Katz ahead of the primary next week.
The Likud secretariat will now be asked to approve Haim Katz’s guaranteed spot.
