Russian news report: Syrian pilot killed by Israeli missile
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAmran Mara’e, a Syrian pilot, is killed after Israel struck down the plane he was flying while on a mission targeting Islamic State fortifications in southern Syria, a Syrian military source tells Sputnik, a Russian government-backed news outlet.
The IDF said on Tuesday that it shot down a Syrian plane after it entered its airspace.
The fate of a second pilot, who was in the plane with Mara’e, was unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, the military source adds.
