Shejaiya neighborhood a Hamas stronghold, says IDF
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleMilitary sources say the Shejaiya neighborhood in Gaza City is a Hamas stronghold and that more than 150 rockets have been launched from that area into Israel over the past two weeks.
The area also has several tunnel openings and weapons storage facilities, Channel 2’s Ehud Ya’ari reports.
According to Gazan medical sources, over 60 Palestinians have been killed so far today in fighting in that neighborhood.
There are about 10 terror tunnels under Shuja'ia. Their purpose is to infiltrate into Israel and kill civilians who live near the border.
