Top Islamic Jihad leader killed in airstrike

An Israeli airstrike killed a top Islamic Jihad member in the northern Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning along with five others.

Hafiz Hamad, a leader of Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades, died in an airstrike on his house in Beit Hanoun, the Palestinian Ma’an news agency reports.

Another two airstrikes are reported to have taken place in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Two Palestinians are reported dead in the attacks.
