‘Turkish-Israeli relations depend on stopping operation’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleImproving relations between Turkey and Israeli depend on bringing the current operation in Gaza to a halt, a Turkish foreign ministry official tells the London-based a-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper.
According to Israeli news site Ynet, the official says the relationship can only be fixed if Israel opens the border crossings into Gaza and stops harming Gazan civilians.
Turkey is working with other countries to apply pressure on Israel to stop Operation Protective Edge, and is not in direct contact with Israel.
