At least four people were stabbed in Boston Tuesday evening, including two at a shopping center, after a suspect rammed a car into a Macy’s department store.
According to preliminary reports, an off-duty police officer at the scene shot the suspected assailant.
The incident occurred at the Silver City Galleria shopping mall in Taunton, outside Boston, just after 7 pm local time when a car crashed into the store. The suspect got out and stabbed two people, reports say.
Two more people were found stabbed in a private home in the city in what police say is a related incident.
The shopping center was evacuated
According to CBS Local Boston citing police, some of the victims’ injuries may be life-threatening.
