Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine is the “sexiest man alive” as of 2013, People magazine announced Wednesday.
Levine, who also serves as a coach on the widely popular TV show “The Voice,” told People he was both surprised and excited by his selection.
“As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” the singer told People in an interview set to be published Friday
“I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”
The three-time Grammy winner beat out other famous mega-hunks such as Justin Timberlake, Hugh Jackman and Bruno Mars.

In the interview, the 34-year-old pop icon asserted that he had maintained his attractive physical appearance by practicing yoga and attending spinning sessions.
He also claimed to cuddle puppies on a regular basis, the magazine reported.
Levine, born in Los Angeles in 1979 to a Jewish father, is engaged to Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo and reportedly “can’t wait” to settle down with her.
