Gal Gadot revs up for Wonder Woman?
The ‘Fast and Furious’ star, a native of Rosh Ayin, is said to be one of three contenders for coveted Hollywood role

Marvel this week announced a new Muslim superhero will join its comic book pages. Now, if Hollywood sources are to be believed, an Israeli superhero could be headed for the silver screen.
That’s because, according to Variety, Israeli “It” girl Gal Gadot, AKA the hottie from “Fast the Furious,” has made it to a super short list of ladies being considered for the role of Wonder Woman in the new untitled Batman-Superman pic.
The mega Justice League pic, which will star Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill and open in July 2015, is being directed by Zack Snyder, the man behind “Men of Steel.” Also in the running for the role of Diana Prince, AKA Wonder Woman, Variety says, are actresses Elodie Yung (“G.I. Joe: Retaliation”) and Olga Kurylenko (“Quantun of Solace.”)
Gadot, 28, a former beauty queen who was crowned Miss Israel in 2004, was born in Rosh Ayin and is also a successful model. She first got international attention when she appeared in a 2007 photo shoot for Maxim magazine focused on the sexy female soldiers of the IDF.
While competition for the coveted role of Wonder Woman will no doubt be tough, Gadot may have a slight advantage when it comes to working with Snyder: He directed another dark-haired Israeli beauty, Ayelet Zurer, in “Man of Steel.”
