IDF soldier attacked leaving Army Radio in Jaffa

Victim sustains light injuries; police pick up 16-year-old suspect for questioning

A 20-year-old IDF soldier serving at Army Radio in Jaffa was attacked Friday upon leaving the station.

She suffered light injuries after being beaten in the face, and was taken to Wolfson Medical Center.

Police arrested a 16-year-old resident of the city on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

The ancient port city of Jaffa was merged into the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality in 1950. Approximately one-third of Jaffa’s residents are Israeli Arabs.
