Azaria sentencing expected at noon
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA military tribunal gets set to hand down its sentence for IDF Sgt. Elor Azaria, who was convicted last month of manslaughter for killing a Palestinian attacker who was incapacitated and lying injured on the ground.
The court is expected to hand down its sentence at noon.
Azaria’s family has already arrived at the Kirya military base in central Tel Aviv ahead of the hearing.
Soldiers from Azaria’s unit tell the 0404 news website that they’re “praying that the punishment will be light.”
