The Board of Peace High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov says aid entered Gaza for the first time today since Israel shut down the Strip’s borders upon the launch of joint military strikes with the US against Iran.

“Essential supplies, including Ramadan care packages, are once again reaching families in urgent need,” says Mladenov.

“This is the result of sustained engagement with all relevant parties to ensure humanitarian access remains a top priority. The basic needs of Gaza’s population cannot be delayed,” he adds.
