The Board of Peace announces that a small delegation of soldiers from Kosovo has arrived in Israel as the US-led body tasked with overseeing the postwar management of Gaza takes another small step toward deploying an International Stabilization Force in Gaza.
The Kosovo troops join counterparts from Morocco who arrived in Israel last month. Albania and Kazakhstan are also slated to send troops, but Israel has yet to take several legal and political steps necessary to allow their deployment into Gaza.
The Board of Peace is establishing a logistics hub in southern Israel where the ISF will be based, but has not yet started building a base for the force inside Gaza, and there is no timeline for when they will actually deploy.
The #ISF welcomes the newest members of the Kosovo Security Force to the team. They will support the Gaza security effort in areas such as logistics and civil affairs.#StabilityStartsHere pic.twitter.com/Pv0xWif4Gz
