Doctor said killed in Israeli strike on Hamas police station; no comment from IDF

An Israeli drone strike targeting a Hamas police station in central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah this morning killed a doctor and wounded several other people, including a small girl, according to Palestinian media.

The doctor is identified as Jamal Abu Aoun, head of anesthetics in the city’s Yaffa Hospital. His body and the people wounded in the strike were reportedly brought to Deir al-Balah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital.

The IDF does not immediately comment. Hamas does not immediately confirm if one of its police sites was targeted.
