Gaza op coming to a close, last tunnels to be destroyed coming days
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFormer Navy chief Eliezer Marom tells Channel 2: “We’re now coming to the end of the military operation.” The strategic problem, he says, is that when the IDF leaves Gaza, “Hamas will still be in control there.” He adds that “with all the sorrow” over the kidnapped soldier, that should not impact the wider decision on the operation, and “will have to be resolved via other means.”
Channel 2’s military correspondent says that the mission to destroy the tunnels is nearly completed. According to the IDF, the remainder of the task will take a matter of a day or two.
