Health Ministry taps general to be ‘coronavirus project manager,’ but IDF says still no decision
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Health Ministry is announcing that Maj. Gen. Amir Abulafia will be appointed “coronavirus project manager,” taking charge of the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Hebrew media reports.
However, the Israel Defense Forces says no final decision has been made.
“He is being considered for assisting the decision-makers, but nothing has been decided yet. We will make an announcement when we know,” says Brig. Gen. Hidai Zilberman, head of the military’s spokesperson unit.
