IDF redeploys 146th Reserve Division to western part of Lebanon border

The IDF says it has redeployed the 146th Reserve Division to the western portion of the Lebanon border.

The division had been tasked with the western portion of the border with Lebanon from the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, before being withdrawn in May 2025.

Normally, the Lebanon border — from Rosh Hanikra up to, but not including, Mount Dov — is under the responsibility of the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division.

The military says that “as part of strengthening defense and readiness in the northern sector,” it is redeploying the reserve division for “defensive missions.”
