IDF says kidnapping of soldier thwarted in Gaza
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe IDF says it has prevented an attempt to abduct IDF soldiers in the central Gaza Strip, Channel 10 reports.
According to the military, earlier today soldiers of the infantry, engineering and armored corps entered a Gaza building believed to contain a tunnel shaft, when two militants emerged from the tunnel and attempted to pull one of the soldiers inside.
The IDF says it fired a tank shell at the building, killing one of the militants, while the other is believed to have escaped.
Further details remain under wraps at this time.
