IDF says tank commander Staff Sgt. Itay Saadon killed in Gaza fighting

Staff Sgt. Itay Saadon (IDF)

The Israel Defense Forces announces the death of another soldier killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.

He is named as Staff Sgt. Itay Saadon, 21, a tank commander in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, from Har Halutz.

The IDF’s toll since the beginning of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip last week rises to 24.
