Israel, Palestinians agree to undeclared truce — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael and the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip will halt rocket fire and airstrikes this evening as part of an undeclared truce, Palestinian sources tell local paper Al-Quds. The report comes as Israeli delegates return to Cairo for discussions to bring about a ceasefire to end the current conflict.
The Palestinian sources say that Hamas and Islamic Jihad informed Egypt that they’re committed to a truce in order to continue the discussions about the Palestinian demands — “which remain the only discussion after the Egyptian proposal was canceled.”
